Yesterday, I was able to get lost in the design development for a new project in Malibu. A variation of this shot from @amangiri has been an inspiration from day one. I am transfixed by how the light filters and moves throughout the space. There is so much beauty in the creation of a space and such magic when the architecture embraces light allowing and enabling moments like this. Enjoy XO Ohara ⁠

Some photographs today of the stair case in production for our kooyongkoot residence. The stair is actually being built by the builder himself shown here in his work shop working through all of the stairs' complexities. Very few builders would have the skill set or the patience for this type of work but when Andrew Crellin saw the drawings, he said that items like these were more like milestones in a builders career and portfolio rather than being another staircase.
As architects, to design something like this on computer, working out the details and subtle nuances, is one thing but then to physically work out how it is constructed and produce it, is something else again. Our practice loves the process of design and we surround ourselves with like minded people who with our team make these beautiful projects a reality.

This is a post l made around 2 years ago. I was in Memphis with a good friend out walking and looked into the entrance of apartments. Nothing had changed since the block had changed it’s use. The only addition were the doors into hidden spaces. Something quiet soothing about the fan and this space, l remember being mesmerised. #Repost @slightly_quirky_ltd_london with @get_repost
