Modern, fresh look for this riverside apartment with views over the River Thames…
With stunning views over the River Thames and the historic Richmond bridge, this modern apartment needed to reflect its driven, entrepreneurial owners. With children flying the nest, they sold a larger family home and bought this 3 bedroom apartment which they wanted as a comfortable home for them and their family. The apartment was tired and in need of updating. They wanted to update the bathroom, modernise the kitchen including getting more natural light into this room as it was a dark space accessed from the large entrance hall.
We gave this riverside apartment a modern, fresh look. The bathroom includes ample storage which means this room can always look tidy as well as relaxing. We paid particular attention to the lighting which is not only functional but adds another level of detail to the design. In the sitting room we replaced old bookshelves with bespoke wall and media units. We worked closely with our joiners to design and build these stunning pieces, finished to an exacting standard with accents of brass and integrated lighting. We decided to move the entrance of the kitchen from the hall to the sitting room which not only introduced light into the kitchen from the double doors to the balcony; but also enabled a more impressive entrance hall. The bespoke, handmade kitchen was finished beautifully and complemented with the petrol blue glass splash back. This colour was picked up throughout the apartment in the hand-blown glass pendant lights and the doors of the bespoke cloak cupboard. Here we used a beautiful wallpaper, which has the texture of a fine material, with brass edging detail. The entrance hall then deserved an outstanding piece to really make it special, so we designed a fabulous cabinet with brass detail, a mirrored base to give the illusion it was floating and integrated, subtle lighting; this really finished off the whole look.
